Handmade Fridge

I still remember A's request after getting her handmade washing mashine. She requested to have fridge also.
So I started collecting box, clear plastic, bottle's cap and recycle it into "Fridge" :D
Even though hubby like to tease me that it is my new hobby to collect box ^_^; but he help to keep some boxes from things that he bought (which resulted another handmade items-see my next post). hahaha
This is my handmade fridge:

There are 5 major sections that I made:
1. bottom: it is compartment to keep vegetables and fruits.
2. middle: it is compartment for anything that no need to keep in the freezer or vegetable compartment.
3. top: freezer for ice cream, fish or meat.
4. sections that attached to the door:
     a. top: can be used to keep egg.
     b. bottom: can be used to keep bottle
5. front door is a section where kids can take "cold water" without opening the fridge.

Let's see what materials I used:
1. boxes. Over here I use 2 boxes for the fridge's body and for the shelf.
2. plastic is from any wrapping plastic (can't remember the brand). these plastic I use for the "glass" door.
3. cover for the cold water section I get it from the tools modelling cover. ( ^_^ just bought for my next adventure on baking)
4. drink carrier that I used for vegetables and fruits are collected from Imperial Treasury restaurant on 313 - Singapore (got it when I bought my dinners with 4 soya milk).
5. sticky tape
6. cutter
7. clue
8. rubber band to close the door.  You can see I put 4 small squares on the door and 1 medium rectangle on top also? I used this for the handle and also to enable kids to close the fridge.
9. stereofoam. I used this at the top section to give effect as an ice in the freezer. thinking of using cotton but end up using stereofoam.

It's quite fun making this fridge. Can't wait to see my kids' reaction seeing and playing with it.

Will you make the same thing for your kids?
